Description
Cilantro is the leaves of the herb that grow from the seed, which is coriander. A very versatile plant in which all aspects are able to be used in cooking. Coriander, when ground into a powder substance, is a pleasantly sweet spice that has a lemony flavor. Typically used in chili and curry dishes. The seed can also be used to flavor cookies, pastries, and bread. While the leaves, Cilantro, have a tart, lemon/lime flavor to them. The leaves are an ingredient in many different foods from chutney, salsa, and guacamole, along with being a garnish on different soups, fish, and meat.
