Catnip is a perennial herb that blooms from late in the spring all through autumn. Its scent attracts house cats, butterflies, and bees. Typically grown in gardens, this plant is drought-tolerant and deer resistant. It is also known to be an insect repellent. Best grown in full sunlight and grows best in poor, dry, sandy, and hot soils. Be sure to plant after last frost and enjoy watching your plants attract not just your pet but also different butterflies and bees. When planting; place the soil pellet into the polybag with 3 tablespoons of water and wait for the soil to expand. Once expanded push the top of the planter into the box and fill it with soil. Plant the seeds so that they are covered in soil and water as needed. Once your seedlings reach 2-3″ recycle the polybag and plant the entire paper planter into a larger container or in a soil plot outdoors once the danger of frost has passed.
