Oregano is not only wonderful for sharing news but also for the environment. Completely biodegradable, the entire planter is able to be placed into the soil in a larger pot to allow the herb to continue to flourish. When planting; place the soil pellet inside of the polybag along with 3 tablespoons of water and wait 15 minutes for the pellet to expand. Then push the top of the planter inside itself and place the soil inside the box, plant the seeds 1/4″ deep and water as needed. This widely used perennial is grown particularly for its flavorful leaves. Fresh or dried, this herb will add spark to a variety of your dishes. When harvesting, pinch off the tops of the younger plants in order to encourage branching for a larger harvest in the future. Be sure to harvest the herb before the flowers bloom for the best flavor.
