These squash are a true garden classic! They can be used in so many ways when harvested. The plants do require some maintenance but the reward is worth it. When planting, make sure that you have a site in full sun with rich, fertile soil. Sow 6 seeds together in a hill of soil, placing the seeds at least 1″ down in the soil and separate the seeds to that they have space to grow. If planting multiple hills of seeds, space the hills far enough apart so that the vines have space to flourish and spread as they grow. Harvest the mature veggies to prolong the growing season and get a larger harvest. Enjoy your hard earned, fresh garden veggies in a variety of recipes!
